Me tracking the amount of sound I’m making as I get a snack from the kitchen while also listening for any sounds that would signal my wife’s approach. This sort of situation is also why we’ve never had a toaster.

To make them cups of tea

So back she goes on down the stairs

To set the kettle boiling

While others sleep within their beds

She is for pigeons, toiling
