The matchmaker boss has a sure strange way
To show his employees he cares
He’s continually thinking and scheming of
How to match them all up into pairs
He really does have a lovely heart
Though a unique way to express it
If only he’d stop all his strategizing
For each matched employee regrets it

Balances on a gable
Always hula-hooping
As long as he is able
He started years and years ago
When he was just a boy
And has not ceased for all these years
Enjoying this wonderful toy
The first time that he went up there
He was just avoiding his math
But now he’s awfully committed
Only stopping for bathroom and bath
He eats his food while standing
While the hoop encircles his waist
With insistence that it enhances
The enjoyment of how meals taste

When coming to the West End Zoo
Prepare yourself to behold
The glistening smiles of all those there
Each creature—the young and the old
The zoo is known the world around
As a leader in sparkling teeth
For their practice is far from superficial
They attend to all layers beneath
And thrice a day a man comes round
Inspecting enamels and gums
And he whistles a tune while he brushes them all
Except with the predators, he hums
So when I come to the West End Zoo
I really hope to apprentice
With the one and only, the greatest around

Above the Law
Regulation of Nonsense
That’s the work that I’m in
But I keep calling up
And my voice won’t reach him
And I typically just
Keep my feet on the ground
But he can’t hear my message
No he can’t hear a sound
If I had the use
Of a large megaphone
I could shout out quite loudly
“It’s a NO NONSENSE zone!”
But I’ve counted down options
And I’ve come to the last
So it’s time to move swiftly
Yes I’ll need to move fast
And though it’s not best
And I quite disapprove
I will fly up to tell him
That this nonsense must move
