The time has come for a laundry day
Though I can’t estimate what this pile weighs
And if I had waited just a single day more
I couldn’t have lifted it off of the floor

Rabbit, rabbit
There below
In the brush
Your colors show
In the ferns
Your padded feet
Casting dew
Your movements fleet
Rabbit, rabbit
Who knows when
I might meet you
Here again

The “Triangular Dancer”
She’s known ‘round the place
With isosceles hair
Equilateral face
And a dress that is known
Just as soon as it’s seen
To be an example
Of the truest scalene

I’ve been keeping my eye
On the Westminster Jewel
I’ll make sure no one takes it
By hand or by tool
I am sharp at my post
And I’m nobody’s fool
I’m the official First Watchman
For the Westminster Jewel

I once booked a room
On the Alakazee
With a window
That looked out across the blue sea
Though the room was equipped
With spectacular views
It was really quite small
Not the size I would choose
And my knees have now lost
A great deal of their feeling
For I’ve had to press them
Quite tight to the ceiling
And my feet, let me tell you
Must be left in the hall
With the door left wide open
That’s how this room’s small
The next time I plan
For an ocean-bound cruise
I’ll be sure to pack in
My most closed-toed shoes
