The Butler shed, out to the west of the shop. I’ve only known it in this spot, but the structure once got moved by truck from a place near the pond to where it’s sitting up now. I think this building is the coolest.

The grain silo that sits beyond the pond and chicken coop. While central Kansas offers amazing views of the sky almost anywhere, I’ve found that an evening climb up to the top of the silo is transformative for perspective. It has given rise to a theory that many childhood memories are blowing just thirty feet above the surface of the earth in the wind. Love getting up there to collect some of the strays that I’ve forgotten.
