The Loves She Doesn’t
I don’t know much
‘Bout the girl I love
But I know she’s not for flowers
She doesn’t care for boxed chocolates
Nor jewel-encrusted towers
She’s not a fan of strings of pearls
Or operatic boxes
She’s never worn a single fur
No beavers, mink, or foxes
And I am sure she has no interest in
Cracked teeth, scraped knees, or sneezes
Because a multitude of remedies
She takes as oft she pleases
So since she’s not for finer things
Nor a virus or a germ
I will instead just draw for her
The sweetest pachyderm

Molly née Hatten
Molly Hatten
Wore a dress
The same one every day
She wore it when she went to work
And when she went to play
And when she went to town she wore
The same dress also then
She wore the dress so very much
She called it her best friend
She wore the dress so very much
Something began to stress her
Until she duly changed her name
And now she’s Molly Dresser

In Charming Dens
Goodnight fair sun and Autumn
I’ll see you all next year
The time has come for me to sleep
My bed and den draw near
The days were warm and lovely
The ambling walks were sweet
For now I must retire
And rest my shaggy feet
I’ll see you in the Springtime
I’m sure to know you then
For now give me the refuge
Of my cozy, woodland den

Moments Under All
Moments, moments, set upon
Stringing moments on and on
Under the celestial sea
Moments held eternally

The Mini Scuba Diver
At a restaurant in Mexico
That sits beside the sea
They serve a special aperitif
And give it out for free
It’s made from a thousand juices
From a thousand different fruits
And spritzed with a carbonation
Fed in through onion shoots
And just before delivered
So it can be partaken
A scarlet seahorse swims within
And then it’s softly shaken
And finally at table side
The step that is the last
A mini scuba diver dives
Placing ice cubes in the glass
